2-Month Appointment

Just a quick post...

Brody - Height 22 1/2" (25%); Weight 12 lbs 13.6 oz (75%); Head 39.5 cm (40%)

Brayden - Height 24" (85%); Weight 14 lbs 15.2 oz (95%); Head 39.5 cm (40%)

They each had 3 shots and an oral vaccine. Brody cried but settled down rather quickly, and Brayden SCREAMED and SCREAMED. I could hear them both out in the waiting room, but Brayden more so. I'm glad it's over and not looking forward to the next round!

2nd Week in Rapid River!

Our second week at Grandma & Grandpa's house was pretty much the same as the first with the exception that Brody started sleeping through the night...YEAH!!! Brayden still gets up to eat at least once however, he did sleep through the night twice this week. Overall, my sleep deprivation has decreased a lot since we've been home, but I would never pass up the opportunity to take a nap. I have no problem sleeping and would welcome a nap at any time of the day! There are a lot of pictures that I took this week so lets get started!

Here is a picture of Uncle Jimmy holding Brody for the 1st time. Uncle Jimmy loves the twins but likes them more when he can hold them without worrying about hurting them.
Grandpa Phil and Grandma Judy came down the weekend before Thanksgiving. They stopped in Rapid River enroute to Florida. My sister Patti wanted Grandpa Phil to give PJ a haircut and he cut Landen's too. This is the 3rd time he has cut Landen's hair. He has always been so good when he gets his haircut. Hopefully he's that good when he goes to the dentist! Here are some pictures.
Papa, Grandpa Phil, & Landen

PJ & Grandpa PhilWhen Landen got done with his bath I asked him who cut his hair and it sounded like he said Grandpa Joe so that's what he calls Phil now...Grandpa Joe!
One morning Landen and Papa shared some pancakes with sugar...
Landen brought me my camera and asked me to take his picture...He's so CUTE!!
Hayden holding Brayden for the 1st time. Hayden is just like Uncle Jimmy...he likes them more when they get a little older!
Steve came down to RR the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. He was only at my parent's house for a couple hours before heading up to the Larrabee's to see Ben. On Wednesday all 5 of us went up there. Luke and Landen are a month apart and the twins and Will are 6 months apart. They will have some good times when they get together in the coming years. Thankfully Grandpa Pat & Grandma Frank have a fenced in yard. We will be able to put the kiddos out there and let them RUN!!
Here are some pictures of the Landen and Luke...

...and some with Brody, Brayden, & Will

When Landen and Luke first met, Christmas '07, we set them on the couch and put a PlayStation controller in their lap. It was so cute that we did it again this year. However, I think they thought they were actually going to be able to play a game this time.

This picture was taken on Thanksgiving before dinner.

I wanted to get a picture of all of us before Steve had to go back to Ontonagon. I think my mom ended up taking 5 pictures and these 2 were the best.
The Daigneau Family
My cousin Kenny and his wife Kathy have 7-year-old twins and a 4-year-old daughter. They came over on Friday afternoon along with my Uncle Roger and Aunt Mary. The kids played really good together and ended up coming over again on Saturday to play. Landen had a lot of fun playing with his older cousins!

After everybody left I snapped a picture of Brayden and Brody laying on the floor.

Tomorrow my mom and I are heading to Ontonagon, and Landen is going to spend the night and Grandma and Grandpa Johnston's. Brody and Brayden have their 2-month check-up on Monday in Hancock. I am anxious to see how much they weigh, but not looking forward to the shots. Thankfully Linzy is coming over between classes so she can be in the room with Grandma while I sneak out.

1st Week in Rapid River!

My mom, myself, and the boys drove down to RR last Sunday. I was in my van with the boys and my mom followed behind in her car. I only had to pull over 5 times...1st time because I needed to adjust the mirror on Brody's headrest so I could see him; 2nd time to give Landen a snack because he couldn't reach it; 3rd-5th times to give Brayden his pacifier because he was crying. It is definitely easier with 2 adults in the car, but I have to say it wasn't bad.

Here are some pictures to document our first week "home".

Hayden got a deer on opening day at the hunting camp. On his way to the ????place he and Robert stopped by so Landen could see his deer.

Samantha stopped by one day and brought Landen a Melissa & Doug toy named "Joey". He absolutely loves it and plays with it everyday. It actually is a pretty neat toy. Joey is pretty much a doll that you can dress and undress. The clothes are magnets that allow for easy on and off. While Patti was out of town working she came across a store that carried Melissa & Doug toys and thought Joey needed a girlfriend so she bought "Maggie Lee". Landen loves them and Joey and Maggie Lee like each other as well because they have already shared a couple kisses!

Here is Landen playing with Joey

Here are some pictures of Brayden and Brody watching TV before bed one night.

Landen loves Aunt Sandy's cookies. When you ask him what Aunt Sandy is he says, "Good Cook." She made cookies this past Tuesday and asked Landen to come over and decorate them. He had a ball. He didn't know what to think when I first put him on the stool. She had 4 bowls of different colored frosting and 5 smaller bows of sprinkles. He was in AWE! He would put some frosting on a cookie and then say, "Aunt Sandy help". So Aunt Sandy would help him and then he would put some sprinkles on, however his sprinkles always ended up in one spot. After he decorated 8 of them he said, "I want to eat one". Aunt Sandy had him decorate a couple more and then he got to eat one. He had a lot of fun and maybe Aunt Sandy will invite him over again...hint, hint! Here are some pictures to show how much fun he had!
I didn't take a picture of Landen with all of his cookies at Aunt Sandy's house, but did manage to take a picture once we got back to Grandma's. When we first got in the door Grandma asked him if she could have a cookie and Landen responded, "Only 1". It was so cute and when anybody came over Landen said that could have a cookie, but "only 1".

We are still working on potty training with some days definitely being better than others. When I was changing him the other day Uncle Jimmy happened to come in the bathroom and Landen wanted him to change him. So, needless to say I had to go and get my camera. I did however have to adjust Landen's diaper once Uncle Jimmy was done otherwise he definitely would have peed through!

My nephew Hayden had a basketball game this past Thursday against Superior Central. His team is made up of 4 8th graders and 3 7th graders. So far they are undefeated.

Hayden's friend Jake shooting a free throw!

My nephew Logan was a half-time participant in the hoop shoot. Although he didn't make the free throw he made a good attempt!

Me and my twins...Brody and a hungry Brayden!

Papa and Brayden before bed one night. Aren't they cute!!!
Today I took Landen to Sunday School. It was his first time so Grandma thought he should have a picture. He did really well, however there is a big difference between 2 and 3-year-olds. He would have much rather played with the toys in his classroom than to listen to the lesson. At the beginning of Sunday School all the kids sit together and sing a few songs. Even though he didn't know any of the songs he clapped and said, "Good Job" at the end of all of them. Everybody thought that was really cute! All in all, though he did extremely well and I will take him again!

Landen & Mommy - 1st day of Sunday School

The twins continue to grow and grow as well as Landen. He is doing really well with them and they are doing extremely well at night which I am thankful for. Brody sleeps all night and Brayden usually gets up around 4 and then goes back to sleep for another 2-4 hours. Brody usually gets up between 6-8 and they both go to bed between 10-11. Hopefully it's earlier when I go back to work, but I can't really complain if they are in bed at 10 and up around 6. They are changing everyday and continue to smile and talk. They will also follow you as you walk around the room; sometimes it seems like they will break their neck trying to look at you. We are enjoying them more and more everyday!

More Visitors!

Uncle Jimmy surprised us a week ago Sunday. It is the 3rd time he's been to our house and the 2nd time since Landen's been born. Landen was so excited to see Uncle Jimmy and Uncle Jimmy was excited to see Landen. I haven't been as diligent this time around of taking pictures of the twins the 1st time anybody holds them, but I am trying. Here is Uncle Jimmy with Landen & Brayden. I didn't get a picture of Uncle Jimmy with Brody because he was sleeping.

My Dad and Aunt Lillian came up this past Thursday for a few days. I had a workshop to go to in Hancock on Friday so they came up to help my mom while I was gone. Anyway, Landen took a liking to Auntie and Auntie took a liking to Landen as well. They played together outside, downstairs in the playroom, and in Landen's bedroom as well. Here are a couple pictures of them playint outside.

She also sat with Landen at his table to eat. She was the only one small enough to fit.

Here are a couple pictures of Mommy and Brody. Evidently I was a little tired...or should I say EXHAUSTED!

Emergency Room!

What started out as a pretty normal day has turned into a not so normal day. Landen tripped, fell into a chair, and ended up with a gash above his right eye. Thankfully Steve was home for lunch and picked him up right away. I didn't see it as I was in the kitchen and my mom was in the living room rocking Brody. Needless to say as soon as Steve picked him up there was instant blood. So, into the bathroom they went while I wrapped some ice in a washcloth to put on his cut. We weren't sure he needed stitches so we cleaned him up, and I rocked him for a few minutes before we decided to take him in. Steve called work and told them he was going to be late getting back after lunch and off he, Landen, and my mom went. I stayed with the twins since I wasn't at all ready to go ANYWHERE! Thirty minutes & 5 stitches later Steve dropped my mom back off at home before taking Landen to Pamida to pick out whatever he wanted. Before they left I ran out to the truck to see him, and told him he could get whatever he wanted and he did. My mom said he was extremely good in the emergency room. The doctor and nurse couldnt believe how good he was. Of course he cried a little bit, but that was it. Here are a couple pictures of Landen with his bandage on. I wil try to get a couple pictures of him without his bandage on tonight.

Eating a sucker he got in the emergency room...notice the spots of blood on his shirt!

He let me take his bandage off so here are a couple close ups.

Happy Halloween!

We were going to go trick-or-treating today, but since Landen has a cold we decided against it. The weather is awful, windy and rainy, and since Landen doesn't know what he is missing we thought why drag him out and make his cold worse. However, Steve did put Landen's costume on him a few days ago and he looked adorable in it. Thankfully it was a little big for him so he can wear it next year.

Here is a picture of Brody & Brayden in their Halloween attire. Landen wouldn't cooperate so I wasn't able to get a picture of all 3 of them together.

Random Stuff!

This past Sunday Steve drove up to Hancock, actually Ripley, to pick up an entertainment center from my sister Patti's in-laws. They had been trying to get rid of it for awhile with no luck and once Steve saw it he thought it would fit in Landen's room. So needless to say Landen now has a TV in his room. He doesn't like "normal" TV, but really likes Barney, the Wiggles, and the Kidsongs DVD's. Here he is watching TV in his room and sitting in a chair that Great-Grandpa Lee Boyer made for him. He made Landen and the twins a table with 4 chairs. It is very nice and the chairs are HEAVY. When I was trying to move the chair to the middle of his room I ran it into my toe and it brought tears to my eyes!

Here he is eating lunch at his new table for the 1st time.

Thanks Grandpa Boyer for making this for us, and also to Uncle Jimmy for buying it! Landen LOVES it and it looks really nice in our dining room!
Here are Brayden & Landen watching TV.
All 3 of my boys - Brody, Landen, & Brayden...so cute :)
Linzy came to visit this past Monday. She was only here for the night, but Landen still had fun with her. He still loves her and she still loves him. I don't have a picture of her with the twins so before she left I made sure to get one. Here she is with Brayden and Brody.
She wanted one with all 3 so these are the best that I could do.
The twins have been smiling and "talking" for awhile now, but whenever I have my camera ready of course they don't cooperate. Their absolute favorite thing to do is lay on the changing table, and they are the happiest in the morning when they are getting changed and ready for the day.
Here is Brayden smiling...
and here is Brody!
Buddy & Buster love when Landen is eating because he often shares or I should say gives his food to them. Here they are patiently waiting for Landen to "share".
Currently Landen, the twins, and myself have colds. I called the pediatrician yesterday and talked to the nurse. The nurse said not to worry about their colds unless they have a fever, and they don't. She said if they are still coughing on Monday then we need to take them in. They are still coughing, but hopefully that will disappear tomorrow.
